The longest trip on the Pigeon River â€“ 1.5 miles longer than any other rafting adventure! Take an exciting 6.5 mile ride down class 3 and 4 rapids!

On our Upper River Trip, our certified guides will navigate your raft the entire trip, sharing their love of splashing through big waves, maneuvering around rocks, and enjoying the beauty of being in the great outdoors. Big waves, big drops and plenty of surfing will assure that you have the time of your life.

On your trip, youâ€™ll get to run about 70 rapids ranging from class 1 to class 4. But, never fear, the Big Pigeon River is for the inexperienced and experienced paddlers. Donâ€™t worry Mom, weâ€™re gonna take good care of you and the kids.

Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Fun on the rapids but day was cool (60°) and rapids seem to be tamer than expected. But definitely would recommend! Tour guide JOSH WAS FANTASTIC!!!

Reverend Dean, the paddling machine, made this first time experience a fantastic one for us. It was a blast and I would recommend this and him to everyone that is interested in a rafting experience. We felt safe while having a great time. WHOOLYS.

Dean, the paddling machine was our wonderful guide! We had a really good time rafting and I felt safe the whole time. We will definitely come back in the summer. Enough about Dean!!! Our experience with SMO was great. From booking, the bus driver, the other guides, the equipment… this is a first class outfitter. Don’t go anywhere else in that area!

We had a great time! Our guide, Miami, was fantastic! He guided us so well and we had a great time a lots of great rides. We all stayed safely in the raft, everything was well organized, and we felt like we were well prepared. We will definitely do that again!

Whitewater rafting was at the top of our list of honeymoon adventures! First of all, our guide Tia was awesome! Her ability to handle the raft and put the rafters at ease was great! She also took the time and showed a genuine interest in learning about all the rafters. The whole process from online registration to completion was seamless. Very professional but also personal. Even our bus rides were informative and entertaining, thanks to Miami, another of the guides.

Just a lot of fun enjoying the beauty of the river away from the city. We had a great young man for a guide named Logan. He knew the river and just where to put the raft for the most fun ride.

My wife, 23-year-old daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic time! Five out of a five on my rating! Josh was an unbelievable guide and he was very helpful and informative along the way! We recommend this to anyone. Very relaxing, thrilling and a wonderful experience! The highlight of our trip!

It was a fantastic experience! Special thanks to our guide Tia who made it more enjoyable and exciting. Most importantly, we felt very safe with Tia around. Would totally repeat this experience with Smoky Mountain outdoors. The price was also very reasonable for all the fun we had. Thank you!
