We will descend close to 1100' in elevation to the base of Hoover Dam where we will launch on the Colorado River in the Black Canyon.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Gold Strike Canyon Hot Springs, Las Vegas, NV
First stop will be Sauna Cave, where we will explore a natural steam-bath. Then move onto Gold Strike where numerous hot springs are hidden far into the reaches of the canyon.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Arizona Hot Springs, 601 Nevada Way, Las Vegas, NV 89005-2488
Back at the kayaks, you'll paddle downriver toward Lone Palm Canyon, past waterfalls, and arrive at Boyscout Canyon. Explore the narrow slot canyons in search of the perfect hot spring. When you find it, you can enjoy yourself, knowing that your campsite is just downriver.

A short paddle brings us to our camp for the evening, where our accommodations for the evening include a starry night sky, and the smell of a campfire. Enjoy a hearty dinner and good conversation, as the sounds of the river bubble gently in the background. After dinner, enjoy a long soak in a quiet hot spring before crawling into your warm sleeping bag for the evening.
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Black Canyon, Arizona 86445, USA
The first day will be full of kayaking and hiking, and you will have plenty of time to roam free. The night will be spent enjoying the hot springs by moonlight, as the campfire crackles in the dark.

Spend hours relaxing and soaking in the natural hot tubs. Paddle into rain caves, and take time to study ancient rock art left by the Mohave tribes who inhabited the area. Many wildlife species call Black Canyon home. You may see Desert Big Horn sheep, bald eagles, coyotes, red-tail hawks, and turkey vultures. Anglers can bring a rod & reel, and try their hand at some world-class striped bass fishing.
Duration: 8 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch: A hearty boxed lunch is served on the first day.
• Dinner: Let our guides prepare you the best dinner you have ever had on a camping trip!
Accommodation included: Tent camping on the river.

Day 2: Campsite to Willow Beach

Stop At: Arizona Hot Springs, 601 Nevada Way, Las Vegas, NV 89005-2488
Wake up to the smells of hot coffee, and the sounds of birds chirping. Enjoy a healthy breakfast as the sun slowly rises on the steep canyon walls. Morning hiking is optional for those wanting to explore, or you can savor the serenity of the quiet morning while soaking in the hot springs.

Today is filled with kayaking, and as soon as camp is packed up, you'll continue downriver.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Emerald Cove, Willow Beach, AZ 86445, USA
As we travel down river, Weeping Springs Cove appears, along with a gravity fault, and your guide will explain the historical features of the canyons as you paddle along. Keep your eyes open for Desert Bighorn sheep; you are likely to see a few perched high on the cliffs. Peregrine falcons, eagles, coyotes, foxes, and lizards can also be spotted.

As you approach the historic cableways and catwalk, you will learn about the gauging station and the purpose it served. Kayak into Emerald Cave for a fantastic photo of the shimmering green waters. Take a short break on Emerald Cove and go for a refreshing swim before having lunch on the beach.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Willow Beach Marina, 25804 N Willow Beach Rd, Willow Beach, AZ 86445-9544
Kayak toward the historic homesite, where you can explore the trail to the ruins if time allows. Fantastic views await at the top, so remember to bring your camera! Just a short paddle downriver past the fish hatchery is your final destination, at the Willow Beach marina.

We did a 2-day, 1-night, self guided camping float trip from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach (12 miles). We used Desert Adventures for the put-in service at Hoover Dam, as well as the take-out shuttle at the end of the trip. They were prompt, professional, and did a great job juggling things around at the take-out when some other boats were late. We had one personal SUP board, and we rented a kayak from Desert Adventures, which was in good shape and performed well. We had an amazing trip (June 30-July 1); it was overcast and perfect for dips in hot springs the first day, and sunny, hot, and perfect for many dips in the crisp river water the second day! We camped overnight at the Arizona Hot Springs campground. Had a skunk in the camp that night-remember to put away all your food/trash/smellies! We both got blisters on our feet from hiking, but managed to avoid sunburn through dedicated re-application of the ‘screen, and by wearing long sleeve sun shirts. Definitely will be back, and will use Desert Adventures again to facilitate our self-guided trips!

Everyone in my group had a wonderful time canoeing through Black Canyon on our 2-night adventure. Desert Adventures took care of EVERYTHING, were super professional, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Could not recommend them more! I just got back from the trip yesterday and already want to go back and do it all again. Between many refreshing plunges into the chilly Colorado, we soaked in multiple hot spring pools, saw bighorn sheep, rattlesnake, bald eagle, turtles, and met some friendly folks gathering endangered razorback sucker spawn for the hatchery. Don't underestimate the afternoon winds that blow through the canyons, they can really put your arms to work. Lastly, keep the river trail clean and carry out all yer trash, including orange peels and shells.

We had a great time on our 2 day 1 night canoe trip. This operation is organized and had us on the water nlt 0900 hrs. The Colorado River is very cool to see and it’s exhilarating to boat on. We had a great guide , Mahan, who packed all the canoe and camping gear and food we needed for the trip. Thanks for the good food and stories Mahan. We had the opportunity to see big horn sheep fighting as we paddled along the River, hiked up to a hot springs tunnel, and swam in the River. Very cool experience. At the pick up point we saw a Blackhawk helicopter swoop in and fly over the visitors center, that was neat to see. We were picked up on time and back at our hotel by 1700 hrs. We plan on doing an overnight unguided tour next year.
