Visit: National Corvette Museum, 350 Corvette Dr I-65, Exit 28, Bowling Green, KY 42101-9134

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes.

Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

I have to admit a certain prejudice in that I think the Corvettes of the 50s and 60s were amazing. When they began to grow and become bigger to the behemoths that they are now I lost interest. For a true Corvette fan this is Mecca. There are all sorts of models on display with good histories and explanations. My favorite part is the early development and the amazing cutaway of the 53 Corvette that was rescued. We saw at least 15 brand new Corvettes awaiting their owners. We were disappointed that the Corvette assembly line was not available for viewing. Again this is a Corvette lovers dream and you could easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.

While in Kentucky, if you are a Corvette fan this is a must visit. Fun for the whole family too. If you go, take the tour and you can see the sinkhole.

Even if you only want to visit the gift store, this is a worthwhile stop. The front lobby area has several Corvettes displayed and waiting for their new owners. The simulator is also in the front area so you do have spectators during your “drive.” The simulator is an extra cost and not everyone in your party has to participate. The admission price is reasonable and the displays spaced out so that it never seems crowded. Be sure to check out the still damaged Corvettes retrieved from the sinkhole incident in 2014. The restaurant/cafe was closed for our visit, just FYI. Allow 2 hours for this experience especially if everyone is driving the simulator.

The museum sits in a 115,000 square foot building. It features 80 Corvettes (of all years including concepts) and almost any memorabilia you can think of affiliated with the iconic brand. It has a restoration shop, nostalgia exhibit, kid’s zone, and a nursery where new owners can pick up their cars in the lobby. An unusual exhibit is the Skydome. This holds the Corvette Hall of Fame and many one-of-a-kind Corvettes including the only . 1983 model and a Vette with a V-12 engine. The attention-getter here are several destroyed Corvettes. These cars were victims of a 35-foot sinkhole that opened up at 5:44 AM on February 12, 2014. Victim of the cave-in at Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. This included the one-millionth Corvette that was restored. The other Vettes look as if they were bombed. The gift shop has everything you can think of for vette fans

I loved it all; learning about Zora, the whole sinkhole ordeal, the history of the Corvette and all of the people at the museum were very helpful and nice.

This museum is pretty neat even if you are not a big car person. There are A LOT of cars on display and Corvette’s are quite nice to look at. You may even see a few driving around.

Seeing all the advancement designs of the corvette that have been completed over the years was fascinating. We enjoyed the movie showing all the improvements made to the corvette. It is obvious that the vehicle has been made for speed. My husband enjoyed the exhibit more than I, however, it was interesting to me. There is a marvelous section just for kids. And there were quite a lot of kids there with their parents. The neatest thing I saw were dads there with their sons explaining all their excitement with the corvettes. My husband and I are handicapped. There were wheel chairs available. Be sure and bring a driver's license to get one. The sink hole that occurred years ago taking some of the corvettes down, was displayed excellently. I would definitely recommend visiting the National Corvett Museum.

First I have to say that I’m not into cars. But my friends are so that’s why I was there. Some neat cars but maybe more interactive things would make the non-car enthusiast interested

If you love corvettes, this is the place to go. There is almost information overload with the exhibits and films. There were corvettes for sale in the entry hall if anyone is shopping. My favorite exhibit was about the sink hole in 2014 that swallowed up several cars on display. The movie about the history of the corvette was interesting, also. Very informative and entertaining.
