I went there in the beginning because my son wanted to go. I didn’t expect much but it was fantastic. Truly a trip down memory lane back to so many Christmases ago when I was a young kid. Vintage toys galore in this place. But what really set this tour apart was the guide. He was knowledgeable even about my era, the 70s and so much more. His passion for the subject came thru at every room. Thank you for a trip down memory lane and for the look of joy on my sons face ! Thank you
This museum is a must for any Star Wars & Super Hero enthusiast. The owners obviously love what they do, as is clear by the attention to detail. There’s so much to see, it’s almost daunting. Even someone not familiar with this genre will enjoy the huge collection. And seeing that the establishment gives back to the community with their various children charities, it’s really a win-win. Josh and Jacob were a delight and made the experience all the more enjoyable. Really loved the dorky intro video - they must of really had fun putting this all together. The place is easy to find, wasn’t crowded when we were there. Nice stop.
As a Star Wars fangirl, I'll seldom turn down an opportunity to have a Star Wars experience. This was a low-key but entertaining tour of a personal collection of Star Wars and super hero memorabilia. It was definitely a trip down memory lane, seeing toys from my childhood and several life-size characters.
This was our 2nd time to the Galaxy Connection, first time in this location. The tour guy is super informative, tells lots of interesting stories, and seems to love questions and interactions with guests. The $10 admission/tour is totally reasonable, based on what he said, included everything the $30 VIP includes, they just bring out a couple extra superhero items and you receive a character print (that are available for $12 in the lobby). My only complaint is that if you miss a tour, there's just a sign on the locked door that says "on a tour, be back soon"....only, you don't know exactly when "soon" is. I get the need for this with just one employee, but it would be helpful if something on the door indicated about what TIME to be back....so you don't walk around to some other stores and miss the next one, as he will just take whoever is there at the time and lock the door.
We had a great time. I'd recommend it for bigger kids - our 5 year old had a really hard time with the rules about what to touch and what not to touch. He just got too excited and wanted to run all over the place. So make sure you're ready to keep you eye on littler kids at all times! It was fun for the kids to dress up but probably more fun for the parents. I liked seeing a lot of the toys I used to play with and hearing stories about the original trilogy. There is a back room with superhero stuff that the kids really went nuts over.
If you’re into Star Wars and Comics/Super Hero’s, this is a must! We took our two kids ages 13, and 11, and both loved it. The guide was a lovely young lady that gave us lots of cool info about the items in the shop, and about the movies. A really cool collection of artifacts on site!
My husband and kids are all about Star Wars and Marvel, so naturally, they wanted to stop and see this place. I wasn't going to tour but didn't want to wait 30 minutes on them. I felt that the ticket price for 30 minutes was a little much. Alas, we all became part of the tour. It's supposed to be an interactive tour where you can hold and wear props. The guide points out what can be touched and worn. There were some small children in the group that really enjoyed that part. The guide encouraged everyone to take pictures as well. The owner was a huge Star Wars fan and became a collector then opened this gallery to share with others. A few props were thought to be original items from the set. My husband pointed out several toys that he had as a young boy. There are four small areas that the guide takes you through and discusses some history of the items. The guides seemed knowledgeable about everything and seemed to enjoy their job.
