Experience a walking tour to see thoroughbred mares, foals and race horses. This farm is owned by a very well known trainer who has the favorite filly for the 2020 Kentucky Oaks.
Tours will alternate between Magdalena and Old Friends.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Keeneland Association Inc, 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510, USA

Step out and enjoy a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. During the race meets in April and October we do not go to Keeneland on the 12:30 pm tours Wednesday through Sunday.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm, 1841 Paynes Depot Rd, Georgetown, KY 40324-9138

Take a walking tour to see past racing champions including Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm and Belmont winners Sarava and Touch Gold. There is also a movie star. You even get to feed them carrots!
Tours will alternate between Old Friends and Magdalena.

This was an EXCELLENT tour!!! Even though the weather was chilly, we were in a lovely, heated van. We spent time at Keeneland Race Track...what a privilege! Our driver, Mike, was ABSOUTELY THE BEST!! He allowed time for the gift shop there and it was so nice...and a chance to warm up. He is a "Betologist" there and explained all we need to know about the racing form!! We drove by gorgeous horse farms and Mike knows EVERYTHING about them! He knows which famous horses are staying there, all the stats for the KY Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes as well as the Breeders Cup winners. We travelled the beautiful Frankfort Pike with horse farms stretching from side to side for miles; Mike knew ALL of them in detail. We ended up at Magdalena Farms, a division of McPeek Racing...and Mike took us on a personal tour of the stables. It's a training facility and we were able to pet many thoroughreds...maybe even a KY Derby winner some day! He even played "Cash Cab" on the way home! Don't even hesitate...book this tour and ask to go in Mike's van. It picks you up at the Embassy Suites on Newtown Rd...so convenient to everything. Mike is so smart, funny and oh so, loves his horses and everything about them. He can answer any questions you want and will take all the great pictures for you of you and your guests...he's just TERRIFIC! We just couldn't have been happier!

Enjoyed the whole tour, especially Keeneland and seeing the yearling sale there! We also enjoyed so many amazing stories and facts. Daniel made it so fun with his whit and song!

Looking for something to do before we headed home and found this tour. Man I’m glad we did. The information Daniel our guide provided was spot on and the stops we had were excellent. Even feed some of the thoroughbreds carrots.

This tour was very informative and interesting! We went to some great farms, some that I already had on my list to go see and I was surprised they were included in the tour. Daniel was our tour guide and did an amazing job! I highly recommend this tour!
