  For the first weekend of October I had the chance to utilize Black Hills Tour to book me a private tour to see Mount Rushmore and Southern Black Hills Tour. Everything went so smoothly. I loved the communication by Kevin (who was also my guide for the 2nd day) and his partner Melina, they were very friendly, prompt in responses, and gave me a lot of details. First day tour was done by Ryan. The price was very reasonable. I felt like a VIP. I got to see so much. Also I have to add that the vehicle they used were very comfortable. I will certainly recommend them to all of my friends and I hope to see them again when I go back to South Dakota.

  Our tour guide, Bob, was personable and knowledgeable. My favorite part of the tour was seeing the buffalo up close in their environment in Custer State Park. Bob drove us to see the buffalo early in the day but they were out farther in the meadows. He brought us back later in the afternoon and they were so close, I could roll down the car window and touch them. However, I did not pet them per Bob's instructions! Seeing Needles Highway and driving through the tight tunnel was fun. Bob drove through the tunnel like a pro! Great photos! Bob knew exactly where the best places were to stop for photos.

  We had a wonderful day touring with Daniel! He was easy to talk with and very knowledgeable. He took pictures of our group and knew the best places for photo ops. The van was very comfortable and great for sightseeing. We all felt as though we had made a new tour guide friend!

  Our tour guide, Bob, shared his love and knowledge of the area and we definitely experienced more than we would have on our own. The flexibility of a personal tour is such a plus because you can spend more time in areas that interest you. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour. The picnic lunch was wonderful and Bob even chose a special spot for us to enjoy. Melina was great to deal with and communication was excellent as we had to change our dates once. I enthusiastically recommend Black Hills Tours!

  Melina was very responsive with all our inquiries before the trip. Very prompt response! Our family had an amazing time with Bob. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and a great company. We enjoyed the trip at our own pace visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Caster Park, The Needles Eye, feeding the donkeys and many more. Icing on the cake was Melina’s chocolate chip cookies and fresh cantaloupe!

  The private tour allowed for a personal touch. Ryan was an excellent guide and was very personable. He provided all the right tips. We also participated in the Badlands tour the next day with him.

  Ryan was an excellent guide and the tour was terrific. We had one day to see the area and felt that we covered everything we wanted to see. I've travelled all over the world and been on many tours. This one is in my Top 10?

  We had a great tour of the Southern Black Hills with our guide, Robb. Robb knew the area very well. Given that the morning was foggy and smoky, he modified the schedule to accommodate this and it worked out great - we started early through Custer State Park and the Wildlife loop which enabled us to get up close and personal to a large herd of bison (safely). We could really appreciate their size and beauty. He took us a bit off the beaten path and we saw pronghorn antelope as well as more bison. We stopped in the town of Custer for a picnic lunch, followed by a visit to the Crazy Horse Memorial. From there we toured Needles Highway and Sylvan Lake and finally Mt. Rushmore. From the beginning Robb was friendly and welcoming. He described the area well and was familiar with the history too. I recommend Black Hills Tour Company and Robb!

  Touring with a local guide as knowledgeable and passionate as Joel made all of the difference. We were lucky to book two day tours, one to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse and the other to the Badlands. Joel delivered above and beyond our expectations. He showed us so many things we'd have missed on our own. Like the outline of Lincoln's hand holding his lapel on My Rushmore, or the scenic back roads like the Iron Mountain Road. The view of My Rushmore through a stone tunnel are incredible. His insights were so interesting and gave us a real sense of what we were seeing. The experience captivated everyone in our group and the pictures Joel took are keepers. This was our first trip to South Dakota, and we were amazed at the beautiful landscapes and animal life. We can't wait to return to South Dakota and see more with Black Hills Tour company. The trip to Custer Park is a must. We came across a herd of over 100 Bison moving across the road.

  My wife and I took a multi-day private tour of Mt Rushmore, the Crazy House monument, the Badlands, Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. Joel was an outstanding guide and was very knowledgeable. Even with the record crowds, we managed to see everything with little difficulty. Glad we didn't try this on our own. Many thanks to Joel, Melina and Kevin for a great experience. Highly recommended!
